Description of Works

Stokers one of the Nations Leading furniture retailers invited Clad-it to review their asbestos cement roof covering at one of their flagship stores in Chester. The store had been suffering from water ingress to areas across the roof covering causing damage to internal ceilings.

Our client also needed to look at designing out the existing fragile roof covering so that regular gutter maintenance can take place to all internal boundary and valley gutters due to the regular attendance of seagulls.

Clad-it installed a new insulated Metal roof overclad system with new galvanized membrane lined gutters sections to provide our client with a 25-year guarantee. A roof inspection hatch and permanent roof handrail was fitted at roof level to enable H&S compliant roof maintenance to take place at regular intervals.

The roof covering was completed with a 199Kw solar system supplied by our sister company Clad-it Solar to reduce their energy bills and make them more sustainable for the future.
