At Clad-IT The Health, Safety and Environmental impact that our roofing contracting services has on our customers and employees are of paramount importance to us.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
CHAS is one of the founders of third party accreditation. They are not only a trusted advisor on health and safety compliance, they are an authority. As CHAS members we set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in-class services. As CHAS members we aim to provide safe contracting practices for all our employees and our clients.
As a member of the SafeContractor we have been audited to reassure our clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites. SafeContractor auditors review our health and safety policies, procedures and documentation, taking into consideration our trade, industry sector and business size. As a result, the safety audits are assessed to ensure there is suitable and sufficient health and safety compliance within our business.
We are now members of Constructionline which is a register of pre-qualified suppliers and buyers, to government standards and allows buyers and customers to know we have been pre-qualified which takes some of the hard work away from them.
We are members of Competent Roofer which is the government licensed competent person scheme that allows professional roofing contractors to self certify that their roof refurbishment work complies with Building Regulations. If 50% or more of your roof needs to be replaced then under Building Regulations you must notify your local authority. Failure to do this could result in a fine of up to £5,000.00! By using a Competent Roofer member you will not only save time and money in making the necessary notice to the local authority, but will have the added reassurance that the works carried out meet the exacting standards required by Building Regulations.
Many of our staff are long-standing members of the Institute of Roofing and they each benefit from this resource which highlights developments within the industry and the constantly evolving materials, manufacturing processes and installation techniques.
Standards are becoming more regulated, contract legislation and liability clauses more stringent and building regulations more complex so it is a great asset to the company to have staff dedicated in their pursuit of continual professional development.
